S . W . A . T .
the picture above is the taken last sunday when we sent jeremy off at the airport. i managed catch hold of him before he left after work. he is damn "suay". cos our beloved Mr Goh Chok Tong is also flying on the the same night. which also means security stepped up. but i was thinking don't this VIP had another departure entrance to enter the customs. i thought there's another VIP entrance for him, or something. he aren't not going in with the rest of the folks? i wasn't sure till we leave the airport. gerry was really nice to chauffer us back in her car when we got stuck when we about to leave the airport... there, our beloved PM was directed and guided to the VIP building next to Terminal 2 by our loyal servants otherwise a.k.a. policeman or public babysitter. but i just don't understand what's the big fuss at the airport. PM is not going to the normal, usual departure meant for public, that included celebrities. beats me.
another strange thing is on the journey to the airport, every single car in gerry's lane seems to give way to her..
Gerry:" everybody knows it's jeremy BIG day, that's why."
Qiang:" i think it's because they can see the passenger next to the driver , but they can't see the driver." ( cold joke, mua~ha~ha~)
=||----------------------------------------------------------------------||=
below is the link i've upload the photos of jeremy's farewell party. due to technical fault and some problems. i've upload it up to yahoo for all. you can click on the link to direct you to the pictures. then you click on this folder icon that is named " jeremy f.. "
http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/gracezouk
to Mei: sorry mei. i can't email you the photos straight. but in case you need better resolution pictures. let me know again. i try to send to you.

BRUCE ALMIGHTY
i wonder if the old man up there starts to throw his anger or fustrations. there's no need to wet my morning with thunderstorms. but please.... don't wet my saturdays. and till now, i am writing at this point in my office in the afternoon. it is still raining at this point. * gggggrrrr*
i screwed up my job last night at the cafe. i don't even know why i would made that mistake. the scenario goes like this.
"table 5 ordered a chips with salsa. i served table 2 with the food they ordered. upon coming back, table 2 ask for their chips . i went back to the counter, saw the chips with salsa on the top waiting to be served, cancelled the name on the order paper and served table 2 with table 5 chips with salsa."
*silence*..
you can expect the waves of scolds from both bosses after that. although i didn't lost my job at the cafe nor i got my pay deducted. i just daze. it came to my mind that after being through the scoldings in the army. you are kinda immune to other scoldings eventhough it might worth the price of the job. it's like one ear in and another ear out. at that very point of time, i actually had this few seconds pause in my head deciding which attitude i am going to pose on my face. in case for some who just knew me. i used to have a can't-be-bother attitude towards a lot things and that includes people as well. but still, i bit abit on my pride, apologised and continued from there.
the phrase" a man is only a man when he takes on and overcomes any circumstances or situations that huddle in his path." has been ringing in my head for a while. how true.

SHOP TILL YOU DROP
Psychologists say they have have worked out that men and women can shop together for precisely 72 minutes before they start to fight.
At the crucial one hour and 12 minutes mark, retail experts say, couples should go their separate ways down the High Street or the shopping complex. Men will have had enough, while most women will then want to continue shopping for another 28 minutes.
The 72-minute claim has been calculated by Dr Tim Denison, a retail psychologist, who led research into the shopping habits of more than 2,000 people. Men and women were analysed on shopping trips, both separately and together, to pinpoint the moment at which tempers snap.
Adherents of the "men are from Mars, women are from Venus" theory, will be delighted to know that the gender differences in retail therapy go back to caveman instincts.
Dr Denison said most men act like "hunters" when shopping; they go out with a clear image of what they want, track it down and buy immediately.
"The thrill for men is in actually getting the thing they wanted," he said.
"When we measured their blood pressure as an indicator of excitement in shopping, men's peaked earlier than in women and went higher but faded as soon as they had actually bought the item.
"Women, on the other hand, act like gatherers; they take their time, stroll around, have less of an exact image of what it is they want, and are slower to peak in blood pressure.
"But their excitement levels stayed for much longer, around 15 minutes after purchase, showing that they derive more enjoyment overall."
Furthermore, the female of the species may not only be more deadly in nature but has more of a killer instinct for a bargain when shopping.
Dr Denison and his team found that women were more accurate in their mental estimates of how much products should cost and, on an average shopping trip got better bargains than men.
xiaoqiang's words: the above discovery wasn't by me. it's by Maxine Frith, Social Affairs Correspondent on how couples can shop till they drop - for 72 minutes. anyway it doesn' hurt me more than it hurt my wallet.

FINDING NEMO
What Finding Nemo Character are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Saw this got-to-know-yourself-better quiz at
Angela's Xanga. I'm a Nemo..whahaha but i do like orange colour.^_^
Saw Jamie Teo and David Tao a.k.a. Tao Ze(WAH~) at China Square during lunchtime. Didn't really notice him till we cross-shoulders and i overheard their conversations. the thing is no one seems to notice it's him. the funny thing is what is jamie teo doing with him. And he is highly recognised in the chinese music scene in asia. I 'm not gay but i do like his songs, his passion for writing songs and his attitude towards music. More respect him as a individual rather than an artiste. *frown*

TWIN TOWERS
another cold wet day to start off my day at work. what's wrong with the old man up there?
the view from the office window is always facinates me. 'cos you wouldn't get to see the movie-like structure of gloomy dark clouds before it rained and splutter on little colourful mushrooms. it is a live staged drama in the working world. everyday is a eye-opener for me. new things to learn, new things to look at. new things to experience. anyway my mobile is back... ALIVE!!!! thanks to gerry who lend me her spare phone. a million thanks to you. ^_^
today had a busty-fulled view at office where you get those bunny-suit ladies coming to my office to sell condoms. * eyes wide open* yesh. those girls come in bra and undies, PINK in colour. with those fluffy ears on their head. probably they targetting every single advertising company around locus of Raffles Place. Still, it's really hard earned money for these salegirls. one came up and promote their products, i was stunned by their outfit at first and followed by a question,
" aren't you cold?" * for heavens' sake, it rained whole day with powerful air-con and skimpy clothing..*
she blushed.
till a colleague came over to break the slient eye contact. i don't know how long they are going to wear that outfit. but i really pity the girls. good luck.
another culture you can only find in this district is that you can occupy a seat just by placing a packet of tissue paper. it seems to be a common knowledge injected to these adults that these seats are mine as long as my packets of tissue papers sits on them. but common sense also do tell us that you can swap or throw away the tissues away to re-occupy the seats. *duh* kinda learning how to survive in here. it does seems abit of a different world from when boundaries of CBD ends. CBD stands for Central Business District. heart of singapore. a place where people pays to come in by their own car or public transports. A food fest that went on and on. a place where people comes in the morning( majority) and leaves or chill by the night. a market by day, a ghost town by night.
but i began to like here. at least i don't feel big or giant walking around. i felt comfortable here. and guys, don't you complain you can't find tall girls. there's plentiful here.
*preparing to get ready for another job*

F R E D D Y VS J A S O N
which one will you choose?
A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train came, and you were just beside the track interchange. You could make the train change its course to the disused track and saved most of the kids.
However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed.
Or would you rather let the train go its way?
Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, I thought the same way initially because to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.
But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place? Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.
The friend who forwarded me the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens.
If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.
While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one. "Remember that what's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right."
Everybody makes mistakes; that's why they put erasers on pencils.
xiaoqiang's words: this is a tough question. i really don't know how to answer. but i'm know in the future, if there would be a similar situation , i need ..no i have to choose to make a decision.

MY BOSS'S DAUGHTER
the show is about...
When his mean boss asks him to house-sit, a young man (Kutcher) tries to use it as an opportunity to win the heart of his boss's daughter (Reid), on whom he has long had a crush. What he doesn't plan on is the long line of other houseguests that come along in the meantime...
xiaoqiang's words: now now...where's my boss's daughter??
watched " My Boss's Daughter" last night. It's is a damn hilarious show. if you need a show to pull off the tired, moody day. this is the one. kinda some dumb jokes too. the theatre i watched in is kinda old and spooky. usually people watched movies at Shaw House. while mine last night was at Shaw Centre( next to Pacific Plaza) up 13 storey (feeling unlucky?) when the lift opened, it gave a 80's new york, manhattan kinda feeling. Mirrors on the walls and doors, retro structure. those small cubic, marble tiles. the theatre is small, probably can only house 30 people. According to my aunt. that's where the early LIDO screens movies (speaking of retro) Seats are spacious, vintage sofa leather. (though it might abit greasy and buttons here and there) i thought the theatre catered more for the caucasians as there were more leg-rooms. you can tell it's old 'cos they still kept the old box seats right back-end of the theatre.
okie guys, when you read "Today" papers. look for this article written on food by this writer named karman. not that i purposely put her name on my blog or i fancy her. Or any other reason you can think about. (she's kinda sweet-looking and soft-spoken) it's just amazing that she maintained her figure well while writing about food. she's A M A Z I N G * with eyes opened* in case, the frogs in the well didn't know that you actually went food-tasting, invites to parties, resturants just to eat and write about the food in that particular place.

K I S S M E
also playing
SixPence none the richer - Kiss me
Below you will find a variety of kiss types. If you find some that catch your fancy, feel free to try them :-)
Butterfly Kiss - With your faces less than a breath away, open and close your eyelids against your partners. If done correctly, the fluttering sensation will match the one in your heart.
Cheek Kiss - A friendly, "I really like you" kiss. Often the preferred kissing method of a first date. With your hands on your partner's shoulders, gently brush your lips across her cheek.
Earlobe Kiss - Gently sip and suck the earlobe. Avoid louder sucking noises as ears are sensitized noise detectors.
Eskimo Kiss - With your faces less than a breath apart, gently rub your noses together.
Eye Kiss - Hold your partner's head with both hands and slowly move their head in the direction you wish your kiss to go... then slowly kiss up towards your partner's eyes and give them a tender kiss on top of their closed eyes.
Eyelid Kiss - While your partner is resting/sleeping with eyes closed, very very gently kiss the spot right below their browbone. A very intimate kiss.
Finger Kiss - While laying together gently suck on their fingers. This can be very seductive and pleasurable.
Foot Kiss - An erotic and romantic gesture. It may tickle, but relax and enjoy it! To give a toe kiss by gently suck the toes and then lightly kissing the foot. It helps to gently massage the base of the foot while performing the kiss.
Forehead Kiss - The "motherly" kiss or "just friends" kiss. The forehead kiss can be a comforting kiss to anyone. Simply brush your lips lightly across the crown of their head.
Freeze Kiss (or Melt Kiss) - Experiment with this fun kiss. Put a small piece of ice in your mouth, then open mouth and kiss your partner, passing them the ice with your tongue. It's an erotic and sensual french kiss with a twist of cold.
French Kiss - The kiss involving the tongue. Some call this the "Soul Kiss" because the life and soul are thought to pass through the mouth's breath in the exchange across tongues. Surprisingly, the French call this "The English Kiss".
Fruity Kiss - Take a small piece of fruit and place between your lips (juicy fruits such as grapes, strawberries, small pieces of pineapple or mango are ideal). Kiss your partner and nibble one half of the piece of fruit while they nibble the other until it breaks in half, allowing the juice to run into your mouths.
Hand Kiss - Gently raise her hand to your lips. Lightly brush your lips across the top of her hand. Historically this kiss was performed with a bow, which showed deference to a lady.
Hickey Kiss - The object is not to draw blood, but to gently leave a mark that will prove your interlude was not a dream. This is often included in erotic foreplay.
Hostage Kiss - Cover your lips with tape and get your love's attention. When they come near, make noises like you're trying to tell them something and motion as if you can't get the tape off. Once they remove the tape from you to hear what you're trying to say tell them: "I've been saving my lips all day just for you!" Then kiss your love passionately!
Hot and Cold Kiss - Lick your partner's lips so that they're warm, and then gently blow on them. The sudden cold blast makes for a sensual explosion, and they will often try it on you next, as well as get very passionate.
Mistletoe Kiss - Surprise your lover by capturing them with a gentle holiday kiss under the mistletoe. This is also a good method for shyer individuals to steal a kiss from a potential lover.
Letter Kiss - Send your lover a kiss in a love letter by writing the letter x several times in a row at the bottom of a letter such as XXXXX.
Lick Kiss - Just before kissing, gently run your tongue along you partners lip whether it be the top or bottom one depending on the position of your lips. Very sensual.
Lip Sucking Kiss - When kissing gently suck on their lower lip. This can be very exciting.
Neck Nibble Kiss - Gently nibble up and down your partners neck. End with a gentle kiss on the lips.
Nip Kiss - This kiss can create a very erotic sensation. While kissing your partner, ever so gently nibble on their lips. You must be very careful not to bite to hard or hurt your partner. When done correctly, this kiss ignites wonderful sensations.
Reverse Lips Kiss - It involves standing above your lover and kissing them from over their head. This way, each kisser can take the hyper-sensitive bottom lip of thier lover in their mouths, and GENTLY draw blood to the surface of the lip by nibbling and sucking. A very sensuous, connecting kiss.
Searching The Cavern - Use the lips and tongue to gently tickle and kiss your lover's navel. Vary speeds and stroke to change sensation. Invigorating and intoxicating.
Shoulder Kiss - Simply come from behind, embrace her, and kiss the top of her shoulder. This is a sensual, loving kiss.
Sip Kiss - Take a small sip of your favorite drink. Leaving a little bit of it on your lips, kiss your partner. It is a unique way to create a sensual feeling and your partner will enjoy it.
Talking Kiss - Whisper sweet nothings into your partner's mouth. If caught in the act, simply say as Chico Marx, "I wasn't kissing her. I was whispering into her mouth."
Teaser Kiss - Starting on the forehead, a sweet short kiss on lips, then move up the arms up to her hand, kiss her hand, then come back up her arm, to her face and then lightly kiss her lips till she wants a passionate kiss.
The Buzzing Kiss - Gently place your lips against your lover's neck , behind their ear. Now, send a shudder through their skin by gently growling and humming, vibrating your lips and cheeks as you do so. Move up and down the neck, over the bones of the face and lips. Stimulating and erotic when done correctly.
The Whipped Cream Kiss - Dip your finger into some cool whip or whipped cream of your choice. Lick it off slowly, then embrace your partner and kiss them deeply letting their tongue slip over yours for a wonderfully sweet kiss. It's very seductive and passionate.
Tiger Kiss - Quietly sneak up behind your partner making sure they do not know what you are going to do. Out of the blue, grab them and gently bite their neck. Make sure to get a few good growls in too. This will surely surprise them.
Trickle Kiss - Take a sip of a favourite drink and trickle it slowly into partner's mouth while kissing.
Tongue Sucking - A variation of the French kiss. During an open-mouth kiss gently suck on your partner's tongue (not too hard because it may hurt). Very sexy :-)
Quickie Kiss - When you're in a rush. Often the nose gets it rather than the lips.
Vacuum Kiss - While kissing open-mouthed, slightly suck in as if you were sucking the air from your partners mouth. This is a playful kiss.
Wake Up Kiss - Before your partner awakes lean over and kiss their cheek and move over giving soft kisses until you reach their lips. Definitely a more than pleasant way to wake up!
xiaoqiang 's words : take note guys, do not over do the kisses else it loses its effect.

i met my group of juniors today for dinner. something happened so coincidentally that my "sis" has broke off with her bf. the view i had inside my head slowly ballooned into those scenes in "Turn left Turn Right". well, one of the juniors who is also single now; used to like her for a long long time. but events and occasions appeared when both took up as student leaders for their own respective schools and both have evolves their own relationships.. i was happy for them in a way. after 1 -2 years later, it falls back on the same cross-road again. whether he likes her is another case. or it might be the other way round. i gave my blessing to both. in "Turn left Turn Right", there's one phrase,
" when both parties like each other, it's call fate. when only one likes the other or vice-versa, it's not call fate."
i guess i think too much.

Turn Left Pirates, Turn Right Sea
Watched 2 movies this 3 days. Pirates of the Carribean and
Turn Left Turn Right.
if you actually see at my side bar, i have
Turn Left Turn Right 's link. it's actually a flash version of the actual story. you can find the book at Kinokuniya too. "
Set in the Caribbean Sea in the 17th century, this is the story of a gentleman rogue of a pirate, Jack Sparrow (Depp), who teams up with the daughter (Knightley) of a governor (Pryce) to stop the evil plan of a ship of dangerous pirates (led by Rush) who are trying to reverse an ancient curse that leaves them stuck between life and death, with the light of the moon revealing their skeletons, like some kind of undead monsters.
xiaoqiang's words : a good story plus abit of twist in characters. i was admiring Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Looked damn cool, damn stylo. but turned out to be a joker. * muahaha~*
Turn Left, Turn Right is based on the best-selling illustrated love story of the same name by renowned Taiwanese author/artist Jimmy Liao. The film tells the simple, whimsical story of a lonely man, played by Takeshi Kaneshiro (Tempting Heart, Fallen Angels, Chungking Express) and woman, played by Gigi Leung (Le Brassiere, Tempting Heart), who live in the same apartment building, yet, due to their habitually quirky comings and goings, never meet there. Following a chance meeting at a park, events, meddling acquaintances and pure bad luck conspire to keep the would-be lovers apart as each makes plans to change their lives and leave the past behind.
Official Website: http://www.turnleftturnright.com
xiaoqiang's words : i nearly cried at the end of the show. *sigh* it does give a different feelings and thoughts. still abit traumatised by movie. i dunno if there's a different impact on on-going couples. do you care more for your loved ones now? happier that you didn't waste so much time looking for the destined one? i might start looking at all directions now. still looking for my vintage love.

BEYOND THE BEYOND
Try and count the black dots in the picture above. There actually aren't any black dots at all!
_____________________________________________________________________________________
This should help put things in proper perspective for all of us.
An American businessman was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican Village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, "Only a little while, Senor."
The American then asked, "Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more fish?"
The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs.
The American then asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
The Mexican fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, Senor."
The American scoffed, "I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat with the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually NYC where you will run your expanding enterprise."
The Mexican fisherman asked, "But Senor, how long will this all take?"
To which the American replied, "15-20 years."
"But what's then, Senor?"
The American laughed and said, "That's the best part. When the time is Right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions."
"Millions, Senor? Then what?"
The American said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal Fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."
"You mean being a Harvard MBA, you have to go thru all that to finally get to where I already am, Senor?"
xiaoqiang's words: don't laugh. it has some meaning in it. go think about it.^_^

BREATHE
today is another 1st day of work; at TODAY'S. breathing different air, talking to different people. mingling among the working people. felt so much adults...perhaps that's what happen when you are mixing among the 20s, 30s people. or perhaps that's how the word "adultery" comes about. the only kinda crime you can commit after you became an adult and get married. you don't get kids to commit such crimes.. still.. i'm a total alien in this heart of singapore. perhaps part of me still dwell abit of NS..* it couldn't be, huh?* people, gimme a SMS or a call when you wanna have lunch with me. i long to try all the food here. though i can't afford some. *grin*
Recently i gotten alot of feedbacks and comments from my fellow working friends, older friends, elders. their ultimate, sure-hit-you and bull's eye phrase is,
"young man, work hard, buck up. cos you are in the worst time of your era. Eventhough you are at your prime time. "
"you kids born in the 80s are the most fortunate bunch. 'cos everything is well taken care of by your parents. you have nothing to worry. you dunno what is suffer. which is also why many couldn't accept the fact of retrenchment." <- is it true?
i didn't really care about what is going to happen or happened. i'm more concerned about my path, my route of advancement. if you guys think i am among the unfortunate ones. you are wrong. i have another buddy who strike something better than Toto's 1st prize and Big Sweep. both bf and gf was asked by his parents to look for a house despite young age and not-so-much income. worse came when his parents' opinions and comments have to entertain when a eligible house is available. *damn* i hope it doesn't pressurize him that much. good luck pal. ^_^

AROUND SINGAPORE IN 23 YEARS
Okie guys, from next week onwards. you will only see me at Cheesecake cafe on Sunday only. Yes, my another part-time job is confirmed. i'll starting work on monday at Today's at Raffles Place. and it's a 5 day week( wahoo~!) job. which means i get to party on friday night.. or even 1 or 2 games of tennis if workload allow after work. Still, my cost of living will rise *dammit* thanks to the high cost of food and transport around the area. i guess this will be another experience for me. where Raffles Place was regard as the heart of singapore by many. the thought of meeting higher managements and others thrilled me.(",)
Speaking of experience, it's kinda funny. even singapore is a dot small island on the bl**dy atlas. it's simply amazing how i spend my 23 years on this petite island. i know most of you are puzzled. you see, i spend most of my childhood days in the north( of singapore..where else) till secondary school days where it's in my neighbourhood ( not to mention my primary school is just next to my block) then i spent 4 good gorgeous years in the east. i love THE EAST!! good food, good place, good sun, good girls and good school. the stretch of siglap rd( near siglap centre) is something similar to holland village. i'm really envy jeremy who's living near there. dammit..you lucky b**tard.. you really born under a lucky star. good life, good family, good home....etc. AA~RGH!! *angry*(.V.)
i spent another 2-3 years in the west slavering. from boys to men, from fit to unfit. from mop hair to "botak" It's my duty to protect you all~" * bullshit~* some of you might have no idea how they spend YOU taxpayers' money.YES! talking about saving money. * pui~* there's no proper channel or usage of money. their wonderful excuse would be,
" oh~, we left so much in our allocated sum. let's spend it on chalet with Plenty of Drinks and Food. So that next workyear will allocated the same amount or more."
a quick note for my fellow army mates.. 1PDF, 1st Peoples' Defence Force also stands for Plenty of Drinks and Food. You can ask around that they always have happy hour on friday. That's how they squandered the money. And another thing, they used , 80grams or more, A4 papers to print their documents. for heaven's sake, the document's lifespan sometimes lasted only a few hours. USE RECYCLED PAPER for filing and printing. even it's meant to keep. and keeping the documents for only a few years. their final destination will only ended up in the shredder. We will saved more trees and helped to reduce the effects of global warming, deforestations, landslides, saved more animals' homes.
*why no one takes my suggestion!!!??* *damn angry (.V.)*
I just feel like bitching today. *muahahahahah* you can call me HE-BITCH just for today only.
And now i am going to spend a couple of months in the south... amusing right? i feel like my whole life(at least till now) amusing, not only entertaining others but also entertain myself.* i shall skip the details* abit sobby for me for me to look back. both my primary and secondary school closed down.
xiaoqiang qoute of the day: We should lead my life like a lit candle. even the candle's life is short, the fire burn brightly with all its might to lit the surrounding before it dies out.

WHEEL OF FORTUNE
[xiaoqiang's words to woman]
console ownself by tiredly holding on to a relationship will not give happiness.
[xiaoqiang's words to man]
it's a virtue if waiting is willingly. time may not tell the answer. it want us to comprehend ourselves.
added a new flash website, [HeE HoR] under playground at the side. click on the horses. Click on each of them at different time and get some music..
Went to send Su anne off last night. anyway, bon voyage girl. we will look forward to your returns in Dec. Congrats to Ronald who has gotten his driving license(finally).
speaking of driving license, i think i should get one soon..hehe
This week was rather a packed week for me eventhough it's only thursday. It seems like i have too little time to do certain things. i just feel something wasn't right.. i know i wasn't in the right position to say this, for all knew that time is at my mercy. i have plentiful of time to do alot of things. but working at Cheesecake cafe don't really give me flexibility. anyway, good news is that i've found another another part-time job. somewhere in Raffles place. will tell more when i have more details. Probably, i will stop my waitering job and concentrate more on my office job. i hope it gives me more free time. My hands are itchy already. hasn't been playing for...2 weeks?
i was listening to a tape recorded when my mum went to see a fortune-teller. According to my mum, half of the things said were right and half of the things said were outrageous. According to the teller, my mum's life will be better if she went overseas when she's young. according to my mum, one guy asked her to followed him to holland in the early years. dammmit, i could have become one of the heads of the mafias there. wahahahahah.. has anyone had their fortune told? how much do you believe? even in our modern age, there are people still believe that their life can be tell or avoid some calamities based on their hand-print or face features. but whatever could happen in the past don't ponder me at all. for it's different lives that we are talking about.

CONTENTMENT
xiaoqiang's words: Have you ever, at any one time, had the feeling that life is bad, real bad, and you wish you were in another situation? You find life make things difficult for you, work sucks, life sucks, everything seems to go wrong...
+
++
After a conversation with one of my friends, he told me despite taking 2 jobs, he brings back barely above 1K per month, he is happy as he is. I wonder how he can be as happy as he is considering he has to skimp his life with the low pay to support a pair of old parents, in-laws, a wife, 2 daughters and the many bills of a household. He explained that it was through one incident that he saw in India... that happened a few years ago when he was really feeling low and touring India after a major setback. He said that right in front of his very eyes he saw an Indian mother chop off her child's right hand with a chopper. The helplessness in the mother's eyes, the scream of pain from the innocent 4-year-old child haunted him until today. You may ask why did the mother do so; had the child been naughty, had the child's hand been infected?? No, it was done for two simple words- -TO BEG!
The desperate mother deliberately caused the child to be handicapped so that the child could go out to the streets to beg. Taken aback by the scene, he dropped a piece of bread he was eating half-way. And almost instantly, a flock of 5 or 6 children swamped towards this small piece of bread which was covered with sand, robbing bits from one another. The natural reaction of hunger. Stricken by the happenings, he instructed his guide to drive him to the nearest bakery. He arrived at two bakeries and bought every single loaf of bread he found in the bakeries. The owner was dumbfounded but willingly sold everything. He spent less than $100 to obtain about 400 loaves of bread (this is less than $0.25 per loaf) and spent another $100 to get daily necessities. Off he went in the truck full of bread into the streets. As he distributed the bread and necessities to the children (mostly handicapped) and a few adults, he received cheers and bows from these unfortunate. For the first time in his life he wondered how people can give up their dignity for a loaf of bread which cost less than $0.25. He began to tell himself how fortunate he is. How fortunate he is to be able to have a complete body, have a job, have a family, have the chance to complain what food is nice and what isn't nice, have the chance to be clothed, have the many things that these people in front of him are deprived of...
Was your life really that bad? Perhaps... no. Maybe the next time you think you are, think about the child who lost one hand to beg on the streets. "Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, it is the realization of how much you already have." When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

S.W.A.T.
Based on the 1970s TV series of the same title, S.W.A.T. stars Samuel L. Jackson as Hondo, a grizzled S.W.A.T. veteran who must recruit and train five new officers (including Colin Farrell, LL Cool J, and Michelle Rodriguez) to join Los Angeles' Special Weapons and Tactics team. The newcomers are thrown into action when a drug kingpin (Olivier Martinez) offers a $100 million reward to anyone who can free him from the cops. The S.W.A.T. team comes under heavy fire from well-armed and dangerous bandits trying to free the felon and reap the reward money.
Saw S.W.A.T. last night with jo. If you like action-pact or uniformed troops carrying out mission, you can catch this show. Well, i am working today. in case you guys wanna pop by and find me. It has passed 2 weeks and counting..*mumbling* i am still jobless. For all i know it's still early to tell. i have friends who stayed jobless for a couple of months before landed on a lowly-paid job which they claimed to be. last night, before i find Mr Moon to accompany me to sleep , i was thinking about government sector a.k.a. working as a civil servant. i've told some of my friends that i don't lay my fingers on government sector just in case you guys forgotten that i was working in the government sector for 2 and a half years as a national slave. but then again, would you take up the chance if an offer came to you?
i was reading gerry's and jeremy's post about destiny... *deep thought* destiny is a deep word. some have left their life to destiny, some don't. Me? i have a friend who told me, i looked healthy, radial, full of life and confidence; young and promising. but my eyes looked lost. am i ?
i was reading one of vera's post and came across this name analysis thing. Click [here] to try.
the result:
"The name of Xiaoqiang has made you rather reserved and, at times, secretive about your personal affairs. As a result, people find it difficult to understand you and you suffer through loneliness. You are interested in understanding life along scientific, religious, and philosophical lines. Also, you derive much enjoyment from reading and from being out in nature. At times, you find it easier to express your thoughts in writing, rather than verbally. You are astute regarding the value of money, have good business judgment, and can drive a hard bargain if such is required. This name has not allowed you to express fully the softer, more spontaneous qualities of your nature because of its practical business attributes. You are matter-of-fact in your attitude to things, not easily swayed by others, nor overly compassionate to the suffering of others. You are an ambitious person, have expensive tastes, appreciate quality in all things, and desire to have the best money can buy. You are inclined to judge things according to their material value. "
*grin* throw me some comments, guys.

A SLICE OF LIFE
One day an old man boarded a bus. As he was going up the steps, one of his shoes slipped off. The door closed and the bus moved off so he was unable to retrieve it. The old man calmly took off his other shoe and threw it out of the window. A young man on the bus saw what happened, and could not help going up to the old man and asking,
"I noticed what you did, sir. Why did you throw out your other shoe?"
The old man promptly replied, "So that whoever finds them will be able to use them."
The old man in the story understood a fundamental philosophy for life - do not hold on to something simply for the sake of possessing it or because you do not wish others to have it. We lose things all the time. The loss may seem to us grievous and unjust initially, but loss only happens so that positive changes can occur in our lives. We should not always assume that losing something is bad, because if things do not shift, we'll never become better people or experience better things. That's not to say of course that we only lose "bad" things; it simply means that in order for us to mature emotionally and spiritually, and for us to contribute to the world, the interchange between loss and gain is necessary. Like the old man in the story, we have to learn to let go. The world had decided that it was time for the old man to lose his shoe. Maybe this happened to add momentum to a series of events leading to a better pair of shoes for the old man. Maybe the search for another pair of shoes would lead the old man to a great benefactor. Maybe the world decided that someone else needed the shoes more. Whatever the reason, we can't avoid losing things. The old man understood this. One of his shoes had gone out of his reach. The remaining shoe would not have been much help to him, but it would be a cherished gift to a homeless person desperately in need of protection from the ground. Hoarding possessions does nothing to make us or the world better. We all have to decide constantly if some things or people have run their course in our lives or would be better off with others. We then have to muster the courage to give them away.

7 DON'Ts after meal:
1. Don't smoke - Experiment from expert prove that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarette (chances of cancer higher) .
2. Don't eat fruit immediately - Immediately eat fruit after meal will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.
3. Don't drink tea - This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be harden thus difficult to digest .
4. Don't loosen your belt - Loosen belt after meal will easily caused the intestine to be twisted & block.
5. Don't bath - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
6. Don't walk about - People always say that after meal walk a hundred step will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
7. Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake were unable to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.
